Train to Teach Event – Liverpool

Primary ECT Development Conference Days

This year we are working with Knowsley LA to offer a Primary ECT Development Programme, designed to provide additional, free, quality CPD to Knowsley ECTs during their induction year.

The programme consists of six conference days, two per term, with the first part of each conference day aligned with the one of the five core areas of the Early Career Framework: behaviour management, pedagogy, curriculum, assessment & professional behaviours.

The second part of each conference day has been designed to increase subject and curriculum knowledge, including sessions focusing on SEND, Reading & Writing and sessions covering the foundation subjects such as Music and Geography.

A wide range of experienced, excellent education professionals, including Local and Specialist Leaders of Education, Inspectors currently working on school inspections, lead teachers and subject specialist consultants, lead all of the sessions.

Attendance is FREE to:                                                             

Any ECTs working in a Knowsley Primary (or special) school

 

Primary RQT Conference Days

A Recently Qualified Teacher is regarded as a member of teaching staff who has completed their NQT induction year and is in their 2nd/3rd years of teaching   Dates for our RQT programme for 2021/22: Monday 15th November 2021, Tuesday 15th March 2022 & Tuesday 17th May 2022

This year we are working with Knowsley LA to continue to offer our well-established and popular follow on Development Programme for Recently Qualified Teachers in Knowsley Local Authority.

The programme consists of three conference days, one per term, the content of the session’s aims to developing participant’s early leadership skills – perfect preparation for becoming a subject leader or for working with and leading other staff. The sessions are also designed to fill any gaps in practical subject knowledge, due to school closures/disruption to their NQT year due to Covid-19.

A wide range of experienced, excellent education professionals, including Local and Specialist Leaders of Education, Inspectors currently working on school inspections, lead teachers and subject specialist consultants, lead all of the sessions.

The DfE announced in June 2021 that additional funding will be available to all state-funded schools who employed an NQT who completed induction in summer 2021. This one-off payment of funding for the equivalent of an additional 5% off timetable is to provide further support to these teachers.

This year we are working with Knowsley LA to offer a Secondary ECT Development Programme, designed to provide additional, free, quality CPD to Knowsley ECTs during their induction year.

The programme consists of three conference days and three twilight sessions, two per term, with each conference day/twilight aligned with the one of the five core areas of the Early Career Framework: behaviour management, pedagogy, curriculum, assessment & professional behaviours.

The second part of the three conference days has been designed to increase subject and practical knowledge, including sessions focusing on SEND, Behaviour Management and Quality Teaching & Learning/Assessment for Learning.

A wide range of experienced, excellent education professionals, including Local and Specialist Leaders of Education, Inspectors currently working on school inspections, lead teachers and subject specialist consultants, lead all of the sessions.

Attendance is FREE to:                                                                              Any ECTs working in a Knowsley Secondary (or special) school
